It is my great honour and privilege to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the development of sports in Sri Lanka, under the banner of the Olympic Movement.

As we look towards the future, our vision is clear. We will build a strong sporting nation by focusing on boosting High-Performance Sports, enhancing Sporting Infrastructure to International Standards, and creating greater opportunities for our sportsmen and sportswomen to achieve excellence on the international stage and bring pride and glory to our nation.

A dedicated group of former athletes, sports administrators, and professionals with extensive experience in sport management and governance and a passion for achieving excellence in Sport have come together with a shared purpose: to create a sustainable pathway for the future of sport in Sri Lanka. Together, we will work towards inspiring and supporting the next generation of athletes by strengthening and developing the foundations of our Sporting Ecosystem.

Guided by the values of the Olympic Movement and the Olympic motto, “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together", we are committed to promoting unity, excellence, friendship, and respect through sport. It is our unwavering belief that sport has the power to transform lives, unite communities, and uplift the spirit of a Nation.

NOC Sri Lanka will continue to strengthen and enhance its partnerships with our parent bodies, the International Olympic Committee, the Association of National Olympic Committees and the Olympic Council of Asia to maximize international cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and support mechanisms that will provide access to our athletes to perform at the highest level.

We recognise the vital role played by our member National Sports Federations in the development of athletes and sport across the country. The NOC Sri Lanka is fully committed to supporting Federations by strengthening governance, improving technical capacity, and developing world-class sporting infrastructure.

Our commitment is to work closely with all stakeholders to build a solid and sustainable future for sport in Sri Lanka.

With commitment, integrity, and a shared national vision, we will create an environment and a level-playing-field, where every athlete can dream, achieve, and succeed. Through unity and collective effort, we look forward to a future where Sri Lanka takes its long-overdue place and stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the leading sporting nations of the world.
