Sri Lanka rout Malaysia by 86 on Skipper Chamari's 63 & 2/3 and Kavisha's 44 n.o. & 2/4
 
Skipper Chamari Athapaththu a quick fire 63 off 37 balls spiced with 7 fours and 3 sixes and Kavisha Dilhari a 27 ball unbeaten cameo 44 propelled Sri Lanka to an emphatic 86-run drubbing of Malaysia in their quarter final  cricket match of the 20th Achi Nagoya Asian Games at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin, Japan on Friday.
 
Sri Lanka, batting first winning the toss ran up 160 for 4 wickets in 20 overs with Athapaththu and Dilhari going on to cap fine all-round performance claiming 2 wickets for 3 runs and 2 for 4 backed by M.A. Bandara 2 for 15 as  Malaysia declined to 74 for 7 in their 20 overs.

Meanwhile, Kavisha Dilhari who struck 6 boundaries, and Harshitha Samarawickrama 25 off 18 with 3 boundaries, sharing in the most productive 62-run fourth wickets partnership of the innings, both voiced themselves post-match as to the positives gained from the triumph.
 
Samarawickrama said that skipper Athapaththu and Dilhari had set the ball rolling upfront which was the ideal platform to such a big score. "The win has set us   up to look for a positive semi final result," she voiced.
 
Dilhari, who has been the new discovery batting lynchpin of the side, said, "in the bowling we concentrated on line and length as we were not familiar with the conditions here and it paid off. By now we are confident of getting into top gear going into the big semi-final versus Pakistan.
