Media Accreditation Process for 4th Summer Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC Sri Lanka) wishes to remind all media personnel of the official media accreditation process announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee.
 
All applications must be submitted directly through the official Dakar 2026 Media Registration Portal, as this process is fully managed by the IOC Media Relations Team and the Dakar 2026 Organising Committee.
 
Please note that NOC Sri Lanka will not be handling, processing, endorsing or approving any media accreditation applications, as this is a direct process administered by the organizers.

    ' Photographers

    ' Writers and photographers representing National Olympic Committees

    ' Writers and photographers representing International Federations

    ' Rights-holding media

    ' Non-rights holding media

 
About the Youth Olympic Games
 
The Youth Olympic Games are a global elite sporting event for athletes aged up to 17 years, featuring a programme largely based on the Olympic Games while introducing newer sports and innovative competition formats.
 
In addition to competition, the Games include an educational programme promoting Olympic values, cultural exchange and athlete development. Many Youth Olympic Games participants have gone on to become Olympic champions and world-class athletes.
 
The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games will take place from 31 October to 13 November 2026 in Senegal.
 
Accreditation Process
 
The application process is an individual registration process through the Media Registration Portal.

    ' Each applicant must create and use their own personal profile.

    ' A profile may only be used to submit an accreditation application for the individual whose details are contained within that profile.

    ' Applications will be reviewed directly by the IOC Media Relations Team for international applicants.

    ' Applicants will be notified directly regarding the outcome of their application.

    ' All subsequent communication relating to accreditation will be conducted directly between the organizers and the applicant.

 
Important

    ' All interested media representatives must submit their applications individually through the official Media Registration Portal.

    ' Applications cannot be submitted through NOC Sri Lanka.

    ' NOC Sri Lanka is NOT involved in the review, approval or rejection of accreditation applications.

 
Accommodation

    ' Dakar 2026 has designated official media accommodation options located within the Games clusters of Dakar, Diamniadio and Saly.

    ' Transport services will be provided between official accommodation and Games venues through the Common Shuttle Service (CSS).

    ' Further details are available in the Media Accommodation Guide, which will be accessible via the application portal.

Expenses
 
Applicants should note that they are responsible for arranging and bearing all costs associated with their attendance at the Games, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, visas, insurance and other related expenses.

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC SL) was inaugurated on 8th April 1937 at a meeting of representatives of Athletic, Swimming and Boxing Associations. As resolved on this day, the first meeting of the Ceylon Olympic and Empire Games Association was held on 30th April 1937.
