Finance Internship Job Description
Position: Finance Intern
Reports to: Finance Manager
Duration : 6 months
Role Overview
The Finance Intern will assist the Finance department in day-to-day financial operations, accounting processes, and financial reporting. This role provides a n excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in finance and accounting functions within a non-profit organization. The intern will be involved in budget tracking, financial reporting, invoice processing, and providing support for audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities
' Data Entry.Input financial transactions into accounting software and ensure accurate and timely data entry for all financial records.
' Budget Support.Assist in monitoring functional and project budgets, updates in accounting software, track expenditures, and report variances to the Finance Manager.
' Expense Reporting.Assist in reviewing and verifying staff expense reports to ensure compliance with the organization's policies.
' Financial Reconciliations & Audits.Assist in internal and external audits by gathering required documents and information.
' Financial Documentation.Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining financial documents such as invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and financial reports.
' Invoice Processing.Support the verification and processing of supplier invoices.
' Financial Reporting.Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.

Office Administration Support.Provide finance administrative assistance, including filing and correspondence.
Qualifications
' Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
' Currently pursuing any accounting related professional qualification are also considered.
' Familiarity with financial and accounting principles.
' Basic understanding of financial reporting and budgeting.
'
Previous experience in data entry and accounting software is a plus.
