Commonwealth Sport Women Leaders Programme 2026–2027 – University Nominations Now Open

The Commonwealth Games Association of Sri Lanka (CGA Sri Lanka) is pleased to invite nominations from universities for the Commonwealth Sport Women Leaders Programme (CWLP) 2026–2027.

The CWLP is a flagship leadership development initiative of Commonwealth Sport aimed at empowering women who are working, volunteering, or actively supporting sport to develop the skills, knowledge, confidence, and experience required to become effective leaders within the sporting sector and their communities.

Successful participants will receive a scholarship of up to £5,000, access to mentoring from experienced leaders, leadership development opportunities, and the chance to join a global network of women leaders from across the Commonwealth.

Universities are invited to nominate up to three (03) female candidates who are currently following sport-related degree programmes and who demonstrate leadership potential, a commitment to personal development, and an interest in contributing to the advancement of sport and women's leadership in Sri Lanka.

All nominations must be ratified by the respective university and submitted through the university to mehara@olympic.lk, together with the required supporting documents.

Applications will be reviewed by the CGA Sri Lanka Selection Panel, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in an interview.

The nomination deadline is 23 September 2026 at 3.00 p.m.
